Die Shakotan Halbinsel im westlichen Hokkaido ragt in das japanische Meer und bildet eine wunderschöne Küstenlinie. Das Gebiet vom Kap Ogon bis zum Kap Shakotan und Kap Kamui ist Hokkaidos einziger Meerespark.
